Why the devil don’t you write... for PostcardCollector.org?

Please share your knowledge and postcard experience with us in our community forum. We are always looking for new contributors and postcard related articles. Listed below are a few ideas for new discussions to get you started...

Checklists – Have a postcard checklist that could help another collector? You can share your list as a .pdf, .xls or .txt document when you start a new discussion.

Club News & Events – Keep us informed about your postcard club’s events. You could interview a club member about their collection or share pictures/video of your club outings and events.

Original Research – Share your projects and undertakings. Are you working on a book? Do you need postcard related information or images for a project, paper or documentary? Tell us about it.

Postcard Questions/Mysteries – Have postcards you can't identify? Prices you need to establish? Give and get advice on anything postcard related.

Share your Collection – Share images, stories and memories from your postcard collection.

Show Reports – When you travel to a postcard show, you can take pictures, videos, and interview dealers or collectors. When you get home, report back to us and share your postcard show experiences.

I talked to a group of friends the other day about postcard collecting. None of them really knew anything about postcards and a couple didn't even know that people seriously collected postcards. I made up a list of their questions that I thought would help other people who are just getting started collecting postcards.

    What makes a postcard valuable?
How can I find out the value of my postcards?
Does it matter if a card is postally used?
What are the most popular topics? (What's Hot?)
How can I figure out how old a postcard is?
What should I do to protect my postcards?
Where can I learn more about postal history?
What is the best way to start collecting?
    Where can I buy postcards?
How can I sell my postcards?

I will work on answering them and if anyone else would like to start a new discussion and take a crack at answering one of these questions, please feel free.

Does anyone else have ideas for broad topics we could cover or questions we could answer?

Would you like to see some interviews with our members and contributors?
